Kitchen Fire Damage in Citronelle, AL
Did you know that cooking equipment is the leading cause of residential fires? According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) between 2013 and 2017 there were nearly 175,000 structure fires across the U.S. that were started by some form of cooking activity. The peak time for these fires occur at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Nearly 62% were caused by ranges or cooktops, as was the case for this fire we responded to. SERVPRO of Mobile County was called out to assist this customer who had a kitchen fire that began with a short in their range. Luckily they were able to get the fire out, but not before it caused some significant damage to their kitchen walls and cabinetry. Our IICRC certified Fire Restoration Technicians performed soot and smoke cleanup, restoring this kitchen back to its preloss condition.
