Mold Growth in Kitchen of Mobile, AL Home

When water damage occurs in hidden spaces such as behind walls or under cabinetry, it often goes undetected for long periods of time.  Many times, the homeowner may not realize they have an issue until flooring starts to give way or discoloration appears on ceilings or walls.  Recently, SERVPRO of Mobile County was called out to this home after the owner noticed an odd smell.  We quickly discovered that an undetected leak inside the wall had led to extensive water damage.  Over time the moisture had led to mold growth throughout the kitchen.  Our IICRC Certified Applied Microbial Remediation Technicians went to work.  We removed affected drywall and laminate flooring.  After remediation was complete, our Construction Services division completed the "put-back" of damaged materials.
