Burst Pipe Creates Mess in Mobile, AL Home

When a pipe bursts in your home it can create quite an issue not just for the room it is located in, but for adjoining rooms as well.  Recently SERVPRO of Mobile County was called out to a home with a plumbing disaster in the bathroom. The water seeped under baseboards and flowed from one the master bathroom to the bedroom, closets and hallways creating a messy situation!  We quickly set up air movers and dehumidifiers to begin the drying process.  Floors such as the black ceramic tile of this hallway that could be saved were quickly protected to prevent damage.  The wet flooring materials that could not be salvaged were take out and we began drying the substructure.  As water moves from room to room it can also "wick" up the walls and get trapped within the space.  We remove strategic small portions of drywall to set up air movers and effectively dry out the inner cavity.
