Residential Mold Damage in Mobile, AL
SERVPRO of Mobile County was called in to address a water damage situation in the kitchen area of this home. We first set up a containment area to keep the mold spores from disbursing throughout the house when disturbed. We then dried excess water and remediated the mold damage. It was necessary to tear out the damaged drywall by making an even cut at 2 feet. We also set up an exhaust dehumidification rig to dry out the timbers in the attic and channel moisture and mold spores to the exterior of the home. It took several days to dry out the attic. We monitored the moisture levels regularly and cleaned the mold contamination following all IICRC and OSHA standards. Finally, we treated the affected area with an antimicrobial substance to thwart any future mold growth.
