Rising Water Bill?

6/5/2019 (Permalink)

Have you noticed a change in your water bill?  It could be a slow climb or a sudden increase, but either way it may be an indicator that you have a water leak.  One of the most common reasons for a large water loss is a hidden leak in pipes that may be concealed by walls, flooring or cabinets.  If you notice a change in your water bill, you may want to take a closer look around your home for signs of hidden water leaks.  Some things to look for are discoloration, bubbling or flaking paint, damp carpets, buckling or cupping wooden floors or a must smell.  If the water leak has been going on for an extending period of time, you may already have mold which can result in a musty, “off” smell.  The only way to detect the exact source is to use a moisture meter or cutting drywall.  If you experience a water damage give SERVPRO of Mobile County a call and we can make it “Like it never even happened.”
